If you have hepatitis B you may develop liver symptoms after you stop taking Combivir even months after stopping. Before taking Combivir tell your doctor if you are also using: cancer treatments; stavudine (Zerit); doxorubicin (Adriamycin); zalcitabine (Hivid); ganciclovir (Cytovene); interferon-alfa (Roferon Intron Rebetron); trimethoprim (Bactrim Septra); ribavirin (Rebetol Ribasphere Ribavirin Virazole); or other forms of lamivudine or zidovudine (such as Epivir Epzicom Retrovir Trizivir). There may be other drugs that can affect Combivir. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use.
